| Susan Campbell Reneau was born in North Carolina to a U.S. Marine Corps officer and a school teacher. She and her parents moved 19 times in her first 16 years of life, including to Hawaii, Illinois, California, and many other regions of the United States. Her parents finally settled in the beautiful state of Colorado, purchasing their first piece of property in Woodland Park in 1959. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1968, where her parents still live in Susan's childhood home near Austin Bluffs. Susan graduated from Wasson High School and from the University of Northern Colorado. She also earned a M.S. in Business Public Relations from American University. She and her husband Jack were married in the Colorado College chapel in 1974. She splits her time between Colorado and Montana. Jack and Susan are the parents of three sons and a daughter-in-law. Susan adores Labrador retrievers and is the parent of two very adorable ones named Daniel Boone and Betty Crockett. Best buddy to them is Tuxedo the cat. |

| Big Game, 2nd Edition, and The Adventures of Moccasin Joe: The True Life Story of Sgt. George S. Howard. Her newest book, Thrill of the Chase: Women and Their North American Big Game, was published by Safari Press in 2004. Susan was the first woman editor for the Boone and Crockett Club (B&C), an organization founded by Theodore Roosevelt and George Bird Grinnell in 1887 as America's FIRST conservation organization. Fifteen of Susan's books were published by the B&C. While living in Washington, D.C., Susan was a Capitol Hill business reporter for magazines and editor and production coordinator for 41 books on higher education. She has written thousands of articles for newspapers and magazines in several states. In 2003 Susan received the First Place Award for outdoor writing from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
