| Larry Huck, Colorado Division of Wildlife officer, holds the giant John Plute typical elk rack that was the World's Record typical American elk until 2000. It is only 2/8 of an inch smaller than the current World's Record that was found in Arizona. The rack scores 442-3/8 points. Between the Plute antlers is a huge unidentified mule deer rack.
